Kelly joined the team at Lloyd Platt & Co in 2017, having previously been in private based practice in the City since 2010. Throughout this time, she has specialised in all areas of family law.
Kelly has a particular specialism in finance matters often with an international element including financial aspects arising from divorce or cohabiting couples, claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 and the drafting of Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements. Kelly also deals with private children’s matters including applications for Child Arrangement Orders.
Kelly has also experience as a mediation advocate in relation to financial settlement matters.
Due to her involvement with the Army Welfare Offices in Oakham and Woolwich, Kelly has a wealth of knowledge of the specific difficulties facing members of the armed forces both in relation to finances and in particular armed forces pensions and in relation to children matters.
Kelly is a member of Resolution, an organisation of Family Lawyers committed to the settlement of disputes in a constructive, non-confrontational and cost-effective manner.
Kelly studied Ancient History and Classical Archaeology at the University of Warwick before completing a Graduate Diploma in law at Nottingham Law School. She then completed the Legal Practice Course at Kaplan Law School before completing a training contract at a London firm.
Outside of work Kelly enjoys travelling, eating out and the occasional gym class.
