Julian Bremner
Julian Bremner qualified as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Tasmania and the High Court of Australia (including the Federal Court of Australia and the Family Court of Australia) in 1996.
During his time in Australia Julian specialised in Personal Injury, Criminal and Matrimonial Law. As a barrister, Julian conducted his own trials on a regular basis in both Criminal and Matrimonial Law. Julian has also specialised in domestic violence and child abuse cases.
Julian came to England in early 2000 where he commenced work as a Locum Lawyer working in a variety of different law firms throughout Southern England . In September 2002 Julian joined Lloyd Platt & Company and has, since that time, specialised in high-worth matrimonial cases. He has been admitted as a Solicitor in England & Wales.
Julian believes that a balance in life is essential and has travelled extensively over the last few years. His hobbies include photography and gym.
Simon Wolman
Simon obtained a Law Degree from De Montfort University in 2000 and was called to the Bar in October 2001. He is a non-practising Barrister-at-Law. After completion of his Bar Finals, he attended at Brunel University at the Centre of the Child, the Law and the Family and obtained a Masters in Child Law and Policy.
His legal work experience includes working with all the senior chambers in London together with Marshalling for a Judge of the High Court Family Division as well as working for the Family Law Contract Centre in Leicester whilst attending University.
His role is one of assistant to the fee earners in the practice, including liaising with clients, drafting documentation and attending Court in interlocutory matters. He is heavily involved in undertaking legal research for the firm in all areas of family law both here and abroad. He has assisted in both high-worth ancillary relief matters involving high profile companies, forensic investigation and applications concerning the children of the family.
His interests include swimming, cooking, travel, current affairs and being an avid fan of Formula 1 Motor Racing. He is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
Joanna Abrahams
Joanna is an accredited specialist of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law association) as well as having been appointed as a member of the law society Family Law Panel.
She specialises in disputes in relation to children and was recognised on the Lord Chancellor's panel for Child Abduction Specialists, Joanna is also one of Reunite's recommended lawyers, an international organisation which provides resources and information on the subject of child abduction.
Joanna carries out all forms of family work and is particularly passionate about trying to protect children from the sometimes unavoidable fallout from parental disputes and advocates mediation wherever possible. When mediation is inappropriate, she, as an experienced advocate, takes the time and effort to prepare cases thoroughly for litigation.
As part of the Lloyd Platt team, she also deals with financial cases of all types and values.
Joanna is a mother of three, who enjoys pilates and baking, but not necessarily at the same time. We are delighted to have Joanna on board, having brought with her, her experience, reputation and care of clients.
Felicity Mittleman
Felicity was educated at Willesden County Grammar School and Pitmans Secretarial College. She worked for several years as a secretary both in the legal profession and publishing, during which time she sold advertising space for Music Week and Radio and Record News where she also assisted in advertising production.
Working side by side with Vanessa Lloyd Platt and wishing to expand her legal career, she studied to become a Member of the Institute of Legal Executives, first at Barnet College and then at the University of Westminster. She became a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1996 and works closely with Vanessa Lloyd Platt in building client confidence in a whole range of matrimonial cases.
Felicity is an avid cinema and theatregoer and enjoys jive and tango, bridge, all kinds of music and surfing the net.
