Simon has specialised solely in family law since his qualification in 2003. He has a particular interest in substantial financial cases and co-habitee disputes together with cases involving fraud or criminal law issues. Simon is a keen sabre fencer and continues to compete at national and international level
Matthew has specialised solely in family law since 1993. He has a particular interest in substantial financial cases involving trust, company and international issues. He has a degree in psychology from UCL, and converted to the law via the CPE and the Law Society Finals, in which he obtained First Class Honours. He has been an accredited specialist with the family law organisation Resolution since 2000. He enjoys films, art, music and reading.
Samantha studied Law at the University of Westminster, Central London, taking professional
exams at the College of Law, Chancery Lane. She completed her training in London,
qualifying in 1990 and becoming an assistant solicitor, then partner with a West End Law
firm. She has broad legal experience.
Samantha has three children and returned to practice with enthusiasm, specialising
in family law. She realises her clients need support and good advice and offers both.
She is a member of Resolution, the largest organisation of family Lawyers in the
UK, and is committed to good practice. Her approach is constructive and effective.
Samantha deals with a wide spectrum of cases, carrying out all forms of family
work. She is keen to enable her clients to deal effectively with relationship breakdown
and its associated issues, and thus to move on with their lives.
Felicity was educated at Willesden County Grammar School and Pitmans Secretarial College. She worked
for several years as a secretary both in the legal profession and publishing, during which time she
sold advertising space for Music Week and Radio and Record News where she also assisted in advertising production.
Working side by side with Vanessa Lloyd Platt and wishing to expand her legal career, she studied
to become a Member of the Institute of Legal Executives, first at Barnet College and then at the
University of Westminster.
She became a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1996 and works
closely with Vanessa Lloyd Platt in building client confidence in a whole range of matrimonial cases.
Felicity is an avid cinema and theatregoer and enjoys jive and tango, bridge, all kinds of music and
surfing the net.
Belinda graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with an LLB (Hons) in 1995
following which she began working for the Crown Prosecution Service before undertaking
her post graduate training at the College of Law in London. Following admission in
1999 Belinda worked in high street general practice where she encountered a diverse
range of legal problems and built a solid understanding of all areas of general
practice before electing to specialise in Family Law.
Belinda’s area of focus is dealing with high net worth ancillary relief cases.
As a member of Resolution she is keen to encourage parties to reach a compromised
agreement however Belinda is a well practiced and experienced litigator who has
represented a range of clients throughout their divorce and financial arrangements
and is well versed in securing pragmatic solutions to complex arrangements.
When not working Belinda enjoys cooking (but mainly eating) and spends her weekends
chauffeuring her young son about, gardening and practising Hatha yoga
Simon obtained a Law Degree from De Montfort University in 2000 and was called to
the Bar in October 2001. He was a non-practising Barrister-at-Law until his qualification
as a solicitor in 2007. Simon also attended Brunel University at the Centre of the
Child, the Law and the Family and obtained a Masters in Child Law and Policy.
Simon assists and leads cases in both high-worth ancillary relief matters involving
high profile companies, forensic investigation and applications concerning the
children of the family.
His legal work experience includes working with all the senior chambers in London
together with Marshalling for a Judge of the High Court Family Division as well as
working for the Family Law Contract Centre in Leicester whilst attending University.
He is heavily involved in undertaking legal research for the firm in all areas of
family law both here and abroad.
His interests outside of work include swimming, cooking, travel, current affairs
and being an avid fan of Formula 1 Motor Racing. He is also a member of the Honourable
Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
