UK Statistics

In 2003, the number of divorces granted in the UK increased by 3.7 per cent to 166,700, from 160,700 in 2002. This is the highest number of divorces since 1997, and the third successive annual increase. It is still 7.4 per cent less than the peak of 180,000 in 1993.
